블렌디드 학습의 효과성에 관한 연구

초록/요약
기업교육의 면대면 집합교육과 전자교육(e-Learning)의 장점을 혼합한 블렌디드 학습이 많은 사례에서 학습의 효과성이 높아 긍정적인 면으로 확산되고 있는 추세이다. 이를 학습 환경이 다른 학교교육에 적용하여 다양한 학습 요인들을 혼합하고 결합하는 새로운 교수·학습의 방법으로 활용할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 고등학교에서 오프라인 교실수업의 집합교육과 온라인의 전자교육을 혼합한 블렌디드 학습이 일반계 고등학교의 전자계산실무 과목의 학업성취도에 미치는 영향의 효과성을 알아보기 위해 형성평가를 분석하여 학습의 효과성을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 수원 광역시 소재 일반계 고등학교 1학년 4개 학급 136명을 대상으로 컴퓨터의 보안과 윤리 단원의 내용을 실험집단 68명에게는 블렌디드 학습으로 설계된 교수·학습을 실시하였고, 비교집단 68명에게는 전통적인 집합교육의 면대면 교실수업을 실시하였다. 블렌디드 학습의 효과를 알아보기 위해 진단평가로 실험집단과 비교집단간의 동질성을 확인하고 두 집단 간 교수·학습을 실시한 후 형성평가를 통해 학업성취도를 검사하고 이를 분석하여 실험집단과 비교집단 사이의 의미 있는 차가 나타날 것인지 검증하였다. 블렌디드 학습의 효과를 분석한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일반계 고등학교에서 블렌디드 학습이 전통적인 면대면 집합교육보다 학업성취도가 높아 유의수준 α=.01에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 블렌디드 학습의 적용이 집합교육을 적용한 학습보다 학업성취도를 향상시키는데 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 블렌디드 학습이 집합교육보다 학습의 효과성에 긍정적인 결과를 보여주는 교수·학습 방법임을 알 수 있으며, 일반계 고등학교의 집합교육에서 이루어지고 있는 제한된 교실 환경의 제약을 벗어나 학습의 장을 확대시킬 수 있다는 결과를 보여 주었다. 또한 교수자와 학습자간 또는 동료 학습자간의 상호 작용을 위한 교수 전략이 될 수 있어 학습의 질을 높일 수 있고 집합교육과 전자교육의 제한점을 충분히 보완할 수 있는 학습방법이 될 수 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다.

The Blended learning is spreading out with positive effects in many fields, culminated by a mixture of merits received in both the face-to-face study from business education and e-learning. We can use this as a new teaching and studying method that is a mixture and combination of various study factors, by applying this to school environment which is different with business or computer. Thus, the purpose of this research is to prove the educational effects of Blended learning, a mixture of face-to-face study in high school off-line classroom and e-learning on-line, on the subject 'Electronic data processing practice' in academic high school by analyzing a formative test. For this project, This research chose 136 students of 4 classes among the academic high schools 1st graders in Suwon. This applied Blended teaching and studying method to 68 students in a control group while having face-to-face classroom lessons of traditional confrontation education with 68 students in the non-controlled group, in both cases, the topic was computer security and ethics. This research also checked the homogeneity between the control and compare group from the diagnostic test as a pre-test to be sure of the effectiveness of Blended learning. From the formative test after the teaching and studying of both groups, this examined the degree of grade development and then proved any significant differences through analyzing the result. The followings are the results of analyzing the effectiveness of Blended learning. First, in high school, Blended learning contributed to students' high achievement than the traditional face-to face confrontation education. Especially in p<0.01 it made a significant difference, thus this can prove that applying Blended learning is effective on students' achievement in class. The results show that Blended learning is a effective method to help increase achievement and also it can expand the studying field beyond the classroom limitation of confrontational education. At the same time, it improves the quality of study and compensates enough the limitation of confrontational education and e-learning because it can be a teaching strategy between instructor and student or between fellow learners.
