초록/요약
본 연구는 20대 성인 남녀를 대상으로, 공격성의 개인적 요인과 인지 및 정동적 요인을 통합적으로 고려하여 사회비교경향성이 공격성에 미치는 영향을 검증하였 다. 즉, 사회비교경향성과 공격성의 관계에서 상대적 박탈감, 악의적 선망 각각의 매개효과와 순차매개효과, 그리고 정직-겸손성에 의해 조절된 순차매개효과를 검증하였다. 20대 성인 남녀 400명을 대상으로 PROCESS macro를 사용하여 분석한 결과, 사회비교경향성은 상대적 박탈감, 악의적 선망을 각각 단독으로 매개하거나 순차적으로 매개하여 공격성에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 단, 순차매개모형 내에 서 사회비교경향성이 공격성에 미치는 직접효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 또한, 조절된 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 사회비교 경향성이 상대적 박탈감과 악의적 선망을 통해 공격성으로 이어지는 경로에 대한 정직-겸손성의 조절효과는 유의하였다. 본 연구는 개인적 요인과 인지 및 정동적 요인들이 공격성에 미치는 영향을 통합적으로 검증하였다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 임상적 함의점과 한계점에 대해 논의하였다.

This study examined the effect of social comparison orientation on aggression among men and women in their twenties by integrating personal, cognitive, and affective factors related to aggression. Specifically, the study tested the mediating effects of relative deprivation and malicious envy, both separately and sequentially, in the relationship between social comparison orientation and aggression, as well as the sequential mediating effect moderated by honesty-humility. Data were collected from 400 men and women in their twenties and analyzed using the PROCESS macro. The results showed that social comparison orientation had a significant positive effect on aggression through the separate mediating effects of relative deprivation and malicious envy, as well as through their sequential mediating effect. However, in the sequential mediation model, the direct effect of social comparison orientation on aggression was not statistically significant. In addition, the moderated mediation analysis showed that the moderating effect of honesty-humility was significant in the pathway through which social comparison orientation led to aggression via relative deprivation and malicious envy. This study is meaningful in that it integratively examined how personal, cognitive, and affective factors influence aggression. Clinical implications and limitations of the study are discussed.
