초록/요약
The purpose of this study was to identify the essential competencies that pre-service music therapists should acquire during their training programs and to develop a validated scale to measure these competencies. The research questions were as follows. 1) What are the components of pre-service music therapists' competencies? 2) What are the reliability and validity of the competency scale for pre-service music therapists? In the scale development stage, the concept and components of pre-service music therapists' competencies were extracted through a literature review, and 90 initial items were developed. Next, content validity was verified through two rounds of expert Delphi surveys, and 66 preliminary survey items were finalized. The preliminary survey, conducted with data from 185 pre-service music therapists, utilized exploratory factor analysis that confirmed 6 factors and 26 items: ‘understanding therapeutic principles’, ‘utilization of musical resources’, ‘understanding clients and building relationships’, ‘self-management’, ‘collaborative communication’ and ‘clinical practice’. In the scale validation stage, a main survey was conducted with 101 pre-service music therapists to verify construct validity and criterion validity. The results of confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, and discriminant validity indicated that the goodness of fit indices for the competency scale for pre-service music therapists were all satisfactory, and the criteria for convergent and discriminant validity were also met, thereby confirming construct validity. Also, criterion validity was confirmed through significant correlations with the Creative Arts Therapist Developmental Assessment Scale, Music Therapist’s Professionalism Scale, and the Creative Arts Therapist Self-Efficacy Scales which servedas criterion measures. The overall reliability of this scale was confirmed to be .95, indicating that it is a highly reliable instrument. The competency scale for pre-service music therapists developed in this study is significant in that it explores the domestic curriculum and job analysis complementarily to identify the essential competencies that pre-service music therapists should acquire during their training programs. Additionally, this scale is significant in that it supports pre-service music therapists in their learning reflection and learning improvement, and can be utilized as a self-assessment tool for competency certification before graduation.

본 연구의 목적은 예비 음악치료사가 양성 교육과정에서 갖추어야 하는 필수 역량을 규명하고, 이를 측정하기 위한 타당화된 척도를 개발하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 예비 음악치료사 역량의 구성요소는 무엇인가? 둘째, 예비 음악치료사 역량 척도의 신뢰도와 타당도는 어떠한가? 척도 개발 단계에서는 문헌분석을 통해 예비 음악치료사 역량의 개념 및 구성요소를 도출하고 90개의 초기문항을 개발하였다. 이후 두 번에 걸친 전문가 델파이 조사를 통해 내용타당도를 검증하고 66개의 예비조사 문항을 확정하였다. 예비조사는 예비 음악치료사 185명의 자료로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하여 ‘치료적 근거 이해’, ‘음악자원 활용’, ‘내담자 이해 및 관계형성’, ‘자기관리’, ‘협력적 소통’, ‘임상 수행’의 6요인, 26문항을 확정하였다. 척도 타당화 단계에서는 예비 음악치료사 101명 대상으로 본조사를 실시하여 구인타당도와 준거타당도를 검증하였다. 확인적 요인분석과 수렴타당도 및 판별타당도 검증 결과, 예비 음악치료사 역량 척도의 모형적합도 지수는 모두 양호하게 나타났으며, 수렴타당도와 판별타당도의 기준 역시 충족하여 구인타당도가 입증되었다. 또한, 준거척도인 예술치료사 발달평가 척도, 음악치료사 전문직업성 척도, 예술치료사 자기효능감 척도와의 유의미한 상관관계를 통해 준거타당도가 입증되었다. 본 척도의 전체 신뢰도는 .95로 높은 신뢰도를 가진 도구로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 개발한 예비 음악치료사 역량 척도는 국내 교육과정과 직무분석을 상호보완적으로 탐색하여 예비 음악치료사가 교육과정에서 갖추어야 할 필수역량을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한, 이 척도는 예비 음악치료사의 학습성찰 및 학습개선을 지원하고, 졸업 전 역량 인증을 위한 자가 진단 도구로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
