초록/요약
Alexithymia, a multidimensional construct, is characterized by difficulties in identifying and describing feelings, and externally oriented thinking style. It serves as an important transdiagnostic risk factor for various psychopathologies. However, the length of existing measures can be limited in time-pressured settings and repeated measures design. Perth Alexithymia Questionnaire - Short Form(PAQ-S) addresses this limitation with a single-factor scale with a total of 6 items comprising the overall construct of alexithymia. This study aims to validate the Korean version of the PAQ-S(K-PAQ-S). Factor analysis was conducted on a sample of 586 adults aged 20-84 years. The confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the single-factor model, consisting of the original items, did not adequately fit the data. For the 6 items of K-PAQ-S, items with high factor loadings from the study data and those proposed by the original authors were considered. The final model showed excellent fit and good internal consistency. Convergent and concurrent validity were supported through significant correlations between the K-PAQ-S and the existing measures of alexithymia, psychopathology symptoms(depression, anxiety and stress) and expressive suppression. Overall, the K-PAQ-S is validated as a brief and robust measure of alexithymia.

감정표현불능증(Alexithymia)은 정서를 처리하는 과정에 영향을 미치는 다차원 적 요인의 결함을 의미하며 감정 인식 및 표현의 어려움과 내적 감정 상태에 주의를 기울이지 않는 외부지향적 사고를 특징으로 한다. 감정표현불능증은 다 양한 정신병리의 초진단적 위험요인이며 치료 효과에 복합적 영향을 미치기 때 문에 신속한 평가와 지속적인 연구를 위한 간결한 척도가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 Preece 등(2018)이 개발하고 단축화한 Perth 감정표현불능증 척도 (PAQ-S; Preece et al., 2023)를 타당화하고자 하였다. PAQ-S는 감정표현불능 증의 다차원적 개념을 반영한 총 6문항의 단일요인 척도이다. 이를 위해 20세 이상의 성인 586명을 대상으로 요인분석을 시행하였다. 확인적 요인분석 결과, 원척도 문항으로 구성된 단일요인 구조는 모형 적합도가 적절하지 않았다. 한 국판 PAQ 단축형을 위해 본 연구 데이터상에서 부하량이 높은 문항과 원저자 가 제안한 문항을 함께 고려하여 최종 6문항을 선정했다. 그 결과, 원척도와 동 일한 단일요인 구조가 지지되었고 최종 모형의 적합도와 내적 합치도는 모두 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 척도는 기존 감정표현불능증을 측정하는 척 도와 높은 상관을 나타내어 유의한 수렴 타당도를 보였고 정서적 문제(우울, 불안, 스트레스) 및 정서조절(억압)과 상관관계가 유의하여 공존 타당도가 확인 되었다. 한국판 Perth 감정표현불능증 척도 단축형(K-PAQ-S)은 간결하면서 감정표현불능증의 다차원적 측면을 포괄하는 문항으로 구성되어 임상 현장 및 연구에서의 실제적 활용도가 높을 것으로 기대된다.
