초록/요약
ABSTRACT Nowadays, Mexico is a country where women are one of the sectors with more vulnerability and are constantly at the risk of being killed just for the fact to be women which is a term better known as Femicide, in other words, is the murder of a woman for reasons of gender. Moreover, around 10 women are killed in this category per day according to feminist groups. The femicide rate in Mexico in 2021 was 1.47 per 100 thousand women. On the other hand, when a woman is a victim of violence, for example when she suffers any type of sexual violence such as sexual harassment or rape, the protocols are negatively affected. First of all, the institutions in charge of making the investigations are inefficient because they do not consider these cases as priority matters. Second of all, there is a continuous gap from part of the prosecutors and investigators in cases because they disqualify the victims during the investigation process. They blame the women arguing that it was their fault as well as victimise them. This is the reason why the Mexican Public Institutions in charge of making the investigations of a woman victim of violence must be educated with a gender perspective, to allow them to execute their right to justice through protocols based on solidarity, sorority, equality gender as well as provide them legal and care services and respect their rights no matter religion, social status, and including women from indigenous communities. Last but not least, NGOs will be a key player to intervene and take action and developing programs focused on gender perspectives and work together in collaboration with the state to create a safe space for the victims as well as guide the persecutors to help the victims to experience the process comfortable as possible and bring them psychological support in case of they need it. On a national and international scale, promote this process through the full participation of women in decision-making to develop a more sustainable and educated society spreading awareness regarding gender perspective on social, cultural, and political spheres.
