초록/요약
This study used appreciative inquiry (Ai) to understand the adaptive capacity of local communities in the Philippines. Ai questions were framed to investigate the common inquiries and strengths of the selected communities through focus group discussions and key informant interviews. The capital approach framework was adapted to code the responses, and thematic analysis was employed. The qualitative findings showed that the communities have strong capacities in their social and environmental capital, while areas in their financial, political, and human capital still need to be addressed. The study also suggested capacity development strategies that may be utilized for future use of Ai as an intervention.
