Preventive Platform of Negligence Accident for Vulnerable Group within a Vehicle Utilizing UWB Radar Sensor

This research is a research of platform for a vulnerable group and willing to contribute to the public interest of society. In this paper, we aim to research the preventive platform for negligence accident of vulnerable group in vehicles occurred every year. The negligence accident in vehicles of vulnerable groups is occurring with various channels in domestic and overseas. For preventing such accidents, there have been trying to prevent accidents by introducing an enactment of law and a safety accident prevention system, however these accidents have been occurred continuously. In case of negligence accident, it is connected to personnel accident, and a post-traumatic stress disorder is occurred in case of rescue. In addition, as most of the vulnerable groups are infants, child, their damages may be more serious. For this, the paper aims to propose a hardware platform and service platform that can be applied to various vehicle environments and overcome the disadvantages of existing systems. To achieve this purpose, an UWB radar sensor will be utilized. The UWB radar sensor can measure biometric information including motion, respiration and heartbeat, and it is suitable for applying to vehicles since an impact to the surrounding environment is low. Therefore, this paper measures the biometric information utilizing the UWB, and ensures to detect neglected vulnerable group within the vehicle. In addition, the research will be performed ensuring it to be an integrated platform through future research by presenting the service platform and linkage method.
