초록/요약
With the outcry of corrupt practices all over the world, especially in Africa, prompted many governments to rethink. This unavoidable change stem from the need for governments to promote better governance, accountability, transparency, and most especially ending bottlenecks to the smooth functioning of public and private sectors in the society. This work summarizes some literature reviews and others as proofs which supports the argument that, bad governance, and corruption are bottlenecks to development in Cameroon, and Sub-Saharan Africa. It is obvious that, corruption has become commonplace in most societies today, due to lack of an effective and efficient check and balance system, as observed from the corruption perception index and data. Besides proving how, and its effects to the society, this study argues why good governance is in a better place to enhance accountability, and development in Cameroon, and Sub-Saharan Africa, with some recommendations for proper implementation of the rule of law and other indicators of good governance, thus promoting effectiveness, and efficiency in the system.
