In the global world of today with rapid changing trends, there are trade aspects like Intellectual Property Rights protection which pose a serious challenge across regions of the world. This study on the OAPI which is a French speaking African has demonstrated their willingness through member state harmonization in specific sectors to contribute to their Gross Domestic Product. Their approach has been through adaptation of trends from the developed economies and other east Asian emerging economies.
