초록/요약
본 연구는 수 개념 학습에 어려움이 있는 발달장애 아동을 대상으로 하여 DTT(Discrete Trial Training) 기반의 앱을 이용하여 ‘하나’에서 ‘아홉’까지 수 알기와 구체물의 수 세기 학습에 따른 수 개념 효과를 알아보기 위해서 교수프로그램을 개발하고 이에 대한 효과성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 DTT 기반의 앱을 활용하여 대상 아동에게 효과적으로 학습을 진행 할 수 있도록 교수 프로그램 개발을 위한 개발연구의 과정과 개발된 연구도구를 실제 대상 아동에게 적용함으로써 이에 대한 효과를 검증하기 위한 실험연구의 과정으로 진행되었다. DTT 앱을 활용한 교수 프로그램을 발달장애아동에게 학습을 진행함으로써 본 연구에서 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, DTT 앱 기반의 수 개념 프로그램 학습은 발달장애아동을 대상으로 ‘하나’에서 ‘아홉’까지 수 알기와 수세기 능력을 향상 시켰다. 둘째, DTT 앱을 이용한 수 개념 프로그램과 이에 대한 교수 절차와 방법을 기반으로 한 교수 프로그램의 구성은 발달장애아동의 수 개념 형성을 돕는데 효과적이었다. 본 연구에서는 DTT 기반의 앱을 활용한 교수 프로그램을 개발하여 발달장애아동에게 실제 적용해 봄으로써 DTT 앱 개발 시 고려되어야 할 특징을 논의하였고 이에 대한 시사점을 분석하였다. 이에 이러한 연구 결과가 앞으로 DTT 앱 개발 시 발달장애아동의 특성을 고려한 보다 체계적인 앱과 교수 프로그램의 개발을 위한 기반을 마련할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

It is well documented that children with developmental disabilities have difficulty learning numerical concepts. The purpose of this study is to develop a Discrete Trial Training (DTT)-based App program for improving numerical concepts among children with developmental disabilities; and examine the effectiveness of the DTT-based App in a sample of those children. To date, there is a paucity of research examining the effectiveness of DTT-based App programs for improving numerical concepts among children with developmental disabilities. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a DTT app-based program, and its teaching procedures and strategies are developed. An experimental research design was employed to test the effectiveness. Results from qualitative data revealed that 1) the DTT app-based program was effective in improving children’s ability to conceptualize numbers ‘one’ through ‘nine’; and 2) teaching procedures and strategies of the DTT app-based program were effective in helping children formulate numerical concepts. Conclusively, this exploratory study uniquely developed a DTT App-based program, and its appropriate teaching procedures and strategies, and tested the effectiveness in a sample of children with developmental disabilities. This study is important because it is a first step towards developing more effective and systematic DTT App-based programs, and their teaching procedures and strategies for children with developmental disabilities. Implications for practice, future DTT App development, and future research will be discussed.
