Service discovery have newly become scorching subject for researchers with the advancement in wireless sensor networks. Service discovery will be an imperative attribute for prospect omnipresent wireless networks and autonomous ad hoc networks. With service discovery, devices may involuntarily ascertain network services including their properties and services may advertise their continuation in a dynamic way. In this thesis, we propose the service discovery architecture that provides a highly available, incrementally scalable service for locating services in personal area networks and IP networks. Our approach is based on directory proxy agent (DPA) which is responsible for service updates of its own personal area networks and makes the coordination with the directory agent of SLP in other neighborhood IP networks to access the services from there, through translation agent where TA translates SLPv2 messages into SSLP messages, and vice versa based on gateway. Results show that our approach increases the performance of service discovery in the network, provides a highly available, incrementally scalable tune-up for locating services in personal area networks and IP networks.
