초록/요약
SOA는 분산 객체 기술에서도 그 기본 개념이 사용되었으나, 미성숙한 기술들과 공개 표준의 부재와 벤더들 간의 협력 부재로 인해서 큰 주목을 받지 못했었다. 최근 웹 관련 기술들의 개발 및 표준화로 인하여 서비스 지향 아키텍처(SOA: Service Oriented Architecture)기반의 비즈니스 어플리케이션 개발이 가능해짐에 따라 SOA가 개발 방법의 새로운 패러다임으로 IT 분야의 주목을 받고 있다. 이와 관련하여 SOA기반의 소프트웨어 개발에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되었으며, 이를 바탕으로 IT분야에서 시장 형성이 진행되고 있다. 그러나 시장 측면에서 볼 때 SOA 기반의 비즈니스 어플리케이션 개발을 실제 적용하기에는 이용 가능한 서비스들이 아직은 부족한 상태이며, 사용자들에게 서비스 이용에 대한 신뢰성과 안정성에 대한 요구를 충족 시키지 못하고 있다는 점이다. 이는 SOC 환경의 활성화를 저해하는 결정적 장애요인이며, 더욱 심각한 문제는 대다수의 연구들이 서비스 시장에서 대체 서비스가 존재한다는 가정하에 진행되고 있어 웹 서비스의 도입 초기에 발생할 수 있는 대체 서비스가 존재하지 않는 문제점에 대해서는 간과하고 있는 점이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 확장된 서비스 중개자(Extended Broker) 개념과 구현 방안을 제시함으로써 성숙되지 않은 웹 서비스 환경에서 서비스 요청자에게 제공되는 서비스 사용에 대한 안정성과 신뢰성을 보장하고자 한다.

The SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) attracts public attention in the IT environments, possible to develop the SOA based business application through the development and standardization of web technologies recently. And lots of researches of the SOA based software development and formation of SOA market places are now under the way. But, to take a side view of market place, there is an insufficiency of applicable services to develop the SOA based business application. So, this SOA environment doesn't satisfy user needs about reliability of service yet. In most of studies, service broker plays a role binding between service request and service provider. And it replaces service with another service in market place to satisfy user needs for reliability. This is the critical problem impeding activate of SOC environment. More and more, a large study is going on the assumption that when the service fails on one service component, the broker can replace it with another service. Therefore, it passes over the problem that replacement services don't exist in the early SOC environment. This paper presents the concept of Extended Broker and implementation plan for the reliability of service in the immature SOC environment where there is no substitution service.
