문화예술실천공동체 '아라리 시민극단' 형성과정에 나타난 구성원들의 학습경험 의미탐구

본 연구는 자발적이고 자생적인 문화예술실천공동체 구성원들이 ‘아라리 시민극단’을 형성하게 된 과정과 문화예술 활동을 통해 경험하는 상황학습의 특징을 밝히고자 하였다. 구성원들이 어떤 변화와 성장을 겪으며 ‘아라리 시민극단’을 형성하게 되었는가를 분석하였으며, 그 과정을 거치며 어떠한 독특한 특징과 양상을 나타내는지 탐색하였다. 이에 따른 연구문제는 첫째, ‘아라리 시민극단’이 문화예술실천공동체를 형성해 나가는 과정은 어떠한가? 둘째, ‘아라리 시민극단’ 형성과정에서 구성원들은 어떠한 독특한 학습을 경험하였는가? 셋째, ‘아라리 시민극단’ 형성과정을 통한 구성원들의 학습경험은 어떠한 의미를 지니는가? 를 탐색하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 문화예술실천공동체 ‘아라리 시민극단’에서 활동하고 있는 구성원 5명을 연구대상자로 선정하였다. 심층적인 탐구를 위해 선정한 연구참여자들을 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하여 연구를 수행하는 사례연구방법을 채택하여 자료를 분석하고자 하였다. 이에 대한 연구결과는 첫째, ‘아라리 시민극단’의 구성원들은 공동체 참여를 통해 학습하는 즐거움과 호혜적 관계 맺음을 통해 배움과 공동체의 지식을 공유하였다. 공동목표를 향한 공동체적 가치를 인식하고 더욱 시너지를 줄 수 있는 공동체를 형성하게 되었다. 둘째, 문화예술 활동을 통해 자발적이고 지속적으로 학습하며 점차 중심적 참여자로 변화하는 과정에서 주체성을 갖게 되었다. ‘아라리 시민극단’에 참여하게 된 구성원이 공동체 내에서 학습하며 점차 내부 중심적 참여자로 변화되었다. 셋째, 문화예술실천공동체 ‘아라리 시민극단’ 구성원은 연극이라는 장르를 학습하면서 상호협력하고 활동을 더욱 촉진하는 상황학습을 경험한다. 구성원들은 개인의 문화예술 역량을 계발하기 위한 노력을 통해 자부심과 성취감을 얻게 되었다. 넷째, 문화예술실천공동체 ‘아라리 시민극단’ 구성원들은 현재 상태에 안주하지 않고 새로운 영토로 나아가기 위해 끊임없는 차이생성을 발현하고 있었다. 구성원들은 평생교육의 주체로서 고정된 것에서 벗어나 새로운 영토를 향한 끊임없는 학습이 일어나며 차이생성을 가능하게 하였다. 마지막으로 문화예술실천공동체 ‘아라리 시민극단’ 구성원들은 평생교육의 주체적인 존재로서 창조적 삶을 생성하는 거듭남의 과정을 경험하였다. 이는 Deleuze가 말하는 ‘-되기(becoming)’ 즉, ‘소리꾼 되기’, ‘해설사 되기’, ‘시민 배우 되기’, ‘유튜버 되기’ 등으로 나타났다. 문화예술실천공동체 형성과정에 나타난 구성원들의 학습경험을 통해 본 평생학습의 의의는 첫째, 구성원들의 문화예술실천공동체 학습경험은 상호관계 맺음을 통해 구성원 간의 신뢰를 형성하고, 정체성을 변화하게 하였다. 둘째, 지역의 전통문화인 ‘아라리’를 계승‧발전시키기 위해 현재에 안주하지 않고 도전을 통해 다양한 콘텐츠를 창출하였다. 셋째, ‘아라리’라는 지역 민요를 매개로 하여 공동체 안에서 학습을 통해 공동체가 추구하는 가치를 이해하고 지역 재생까지 연계하는 사회적 참여를 이끌어냈다.

This study aims to clarify the characteristics of situational learning experienced by members of the voluntary and self-sustaining cultural and artistic practice community through the process of forming the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ and cultural and artistic activities. We analyzed what changes and growth members experienced to form the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ and explored what unique characteristics and aspects they represent throughout the process. The resulting research problem is: First, how does the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ form a culture and arts practice community? Second, what kind of learning do members experience in the process of forming ‘Arari Civic Troupe’? Third, what is the meaning of learning experience of members of the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ in terms of lifelong learning? In order to achieve this research goal, five members of the Culture and Arts Practice Community ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ were selected as subjects of the study. The data were analyzed by adopting a case study method to conduct research by conducting in-depth interviews with selected research participants for in-depth exploration, and the results are as follows: First, members of the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ shared the joy of learning through community participation and the knowledge of the community through reciprocal relationships. It recognized the community value toward the shared goal and formed a community that could provide more synergy. Second, through cultural and artistic activities, they learned voluntarily and continuously, and gradually became independent in the process of changing into central participants. Members who participated in the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ gradually changed to internal-centered participants as they learned within the community. Third, members of the culture and arts practice community ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ experience situational learning that cooperates with each other and further promotes activities while learning the genre of theater. Members have gained a sense of pride and accomplishment through their efforts to develop individual cultural and artistic abilities. Fourth, members of the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’ of culture and arts practice community were expressing constant differences to move to new territory without complacency. As the subject of lifelong education, learning takes place as members move away from the fixed ones and leave in search of new territories. Learning allowed constant difference generation. Finally, members of the ‘Arari Civic Troupe’, a community of cultural and artistic practice, experienced a process of creating a creative life as the mainstay of lifelong education. This was seen as what Deleuze calls ‘becoming’, or ‘becoming a singer’, ‘becoming a commentator’, ‘becoming a citizen actor’ and ‘becoming a YouTuber’. The significance of lifelong learning through the learning experience of members in the process of forming a culture and arts practice community first, the members’ learning experience in the culture and arts practice community formed mutual relationships and changed their identity. Second, in order to inherit and develop the local traditional culture of ‘Arari’, various contents were created through challenges without settling down in the present. Third, through the medium of local folk songs called ‘Arari’, it led to social participation in understanding the values pursued by the community through learning in the community and linking local regeneration.
