초록/요약
본 연구는 학생들의 공간능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 3D 모델링 소프트웨어를 활용한 교육프로그램을 개발한 뒤, 경기도에 위치한 P초등학교 6학년 학급 중 두 개 학급을 선정하여 한 학급은 실험집단, 다른 학급은 통제집단으로 배치한 후 실험집단 학급을 대상으로 개발한 교육프로그램을 적용하였다. 그리고 실험집단과 통제집단의 검사 결과를 분석하여 3D 모델링 교육프로그램이 학생들의 공간능력과 SW 진로지향도에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 하였다. 3D 모델링 교육프로그램을 적용한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 3D 모델링 교육프로그램은 공간시각화 능력의 하위 영역 중 정신적 변환 능력을 신장시키는 데에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 3D 모델링 교육프로그램은 공간방향 능력에는 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 3D 모델링 교육프로그램은 학생들의 SW 진로지향도에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 종합하면 학생들이 정신적변환 능력을 주로 사용하는 3D 모델링교육프로그램은 정신적변환 능력을 제외한 다른 공간능력의 하위 영역에 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 보인다. 그리고 초등학생들은 SW 진로를 프로그래밍 관련으로만 생각하는 경향이 있어 프로그래밍 외의 SW을 사용한 교육프로그램으로는 학생들의 SW 진로지향도에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 생각된다.

In this research, developed an educational program using 3D modeling software to enhance students' spatial ability. This educational program was selected from two grade 6 classes were selected from one of elementary schools in Gyeonggi province. One class was selected as experimental group and the other class was selected as control group, and then experimental group class was applied. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the program on elementary students about their spatial ability and SW career orientation. The results of the experiment are the followings. First, the 3D modeling education program has a significant effect on enhancing mental transformation ability, the sub areas of spatial visualization ability. Second, 3D modeling education program did not have a significant effect on spatial orientation ability. Third, the 3D modeling education program did not have a significant effect on students' career orientation. The result shows that there is one mainly used space capability area by the students and other areas were not heavily influenced by the 3D modeling education program. Therefore, the results of this research can be interpreted that the 3D modeling education program only affects mental transformation among students' spatial visualization ability.
