고용형태에 따른 임금근로자의 건강 위해성 연구

초록/요약
본 연구에서는 국내 근로자를 고용형태별로 분류하여 임금근로자와 업무상 건강의 유의성을 알아보기 위해 2011년 전국의 만 15세 이상 취업자를 대상으로 시행한 제 3차 근로환경조사(Korea working condition survey, KWCS) 결과를 활용하였고, 전체 응답자 50,032명 중 임금근로자 29,711명을 대상으로 하였다. 일반적인 특성은 설문지의 해당 문항들을 개인적 특성, 직업적 특성, 근무환경으로 정하였고, “지난 12개월 동안 귀하는 다음과 같은 건강상의 문제가 있었습니까?”에 대한 응답으로 ‘있다’라고 답한 경우 업무상 건강관련이 있는 것으로 정의하였다. 조사된 데이터를 통해 먼저 설문지에 응답한 전체 근로자 중 임금근로자 데이터를 추출하였고, 임금근로자와 일반적 특성을 가지고 빈도분석을 하였다. 다음으로 업무상 관련여부에 대한 항목을 가지고 상관성을 알아보기 위해 요인분석과 카이제곱검정 분석을 실시하였고, 마지막으로 교차분석을 통해 임금근로자를 상용근로자, 임시근로자, 임용근로자로 나누어 업무상 건강유무에 대한 유의성을 도출하였다. 임금근로자의 일반적인 특성<Table 1>에서 Job type은 육체노동자의 비율이 34.5%로 분포되어 있고, Working time은 우리나라 법적 근로시간은 40시간 임에도 불구하고 근로자의 60.2%가 40시간을 초과하여 근무하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또 Job stress항목에서는 70.7%의 근로자가 업무를 스트레스를 받는다고 응답하였다. 업무상 관련 건강문제에 대하여 심혈관 질환문제를 제외하고 나머지 항목에서 문제가 있는 것으로 응답하였다. 이 연구에서는 국내 임금근로자(상용근로자, 임시근로자, 일용근로자)가 업무상의 건강문제에 대하여 유해하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 임금근로자의 업무상의 건강문제를 줄이기 위한 논의와 더 나은 근무환경을 위한 권고안이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

Abstract Significance of occupational health of workers in wage employment This research is focused on identifying relationship between different types of wage workers(regular employee, temporary employee, daily employee) and their health hazards at workplace. In the thesis, third KWCS(Korea Working Condition Survey) responses from workers over 15 years old was referred , and 29711 out of 50032 responses were analyzed. General traits were divided into personal traits, job traits, and workplace environments. Workplace environment was seen as relevant to health problems in case of positive response to the question, 'Have you experienced any kind of health problem during the last 12 months of work?' Firstly, a frequency analysis was conducted for wage workers and their general traits using the surveyed data. Secondly, a factor analysis and a Chi-square test were conducted to find out the relationship between working environment and health hazards . Lastly, through a cross analysis, wage workers were divided into 3 groups: regular employee, temporary employee and daily employee. Consequently, the significance of the existence or non-existence of work-related health issue was found out. General characteristics of an employee shows that physical labor workers consist of 34.5% of the sample and 60.2% of surveyed workers work more than 40 hours per week.. In the job stress section, 70.7% of the workers were stressed out from work. As for the health issue, except for cardiovascular problem, rest of the illnesses showed strong relationship to work environment. Throughout this study, the significance of work-related health issues for different types of Korean wage workers was identified.
