초록/요약

This research paper, will affirm the assertion that the 1992 legislation on cooperative societies brought in significant changes in the socio economic situation in Cameroon in general and Kupe Muaneguba in particular. Some internal factors and external factors that influenced the Cameroon government to pass these laws will also be examined. Liberalizing the cooperative laws is one task, making it to be sustainable is another task. I will conclude that if the government wants the cooperative sectors to become a giant producers and suppliers in the nearest future, then they should make enabling situation for their growth.
