초록/요약
SAP R/3구축에는 많은 인력과 비용이 투입되고 , 조직업무 환경변화로 인한 크고, 작은 고통이 수반이 된다. 그럼에도 불구하고 많은 기업들은 프로젝트기 완료가 된 후에 별다른 성과를 얻지 못하였거나 반대로 많은 효과를 얻기도 한다. 때문에 SAP R/3가 기업효율성에 미치는 영향이나 성공요인에 대한 사례 연구는 문헌 이나 여러 논문에서 우리는 찾아 볼수가 있다. 그러나 SAP R/3중 특정모듈이 기업에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대한 연구는 이번 논문주제를 조사하는 과정에서 그 양이나 학술적인 차원에서 관련 논문이나 문헌이 미비 하다는 것을 알게 되었다. 그리고 SAP R/3 모듈 중 PP모듈(생산관리)에 대한 영향성 분석을 하기로 결정을 하였다. 또한 타 모듈과는 특이하게 PP모듈(생산관리)은 MES라는 서브시스템을 사용을 하기 때문에 MES와의 관계 또한 상관관계 및 영향성을 조사하고 , 적정한 성공요인 및 실패 인자를 도출해 내려고 한다. 본 논문에서는 간략하게 SAP R/3 PP모듈의 정의를 하고 SAP R/3 PP모듈의 중요개념인 생산전략을 이해한뒤 생산계획 구축절차 , 생산계획 변화관리 , MES구축절차를 특정기업이 SAP R/3를 도입을 해서 구축하는 사례를 제시하면서 , 서술식으로 표현 하였다. 이 과정에서 도입 및 구축 , 완료과정에서의 문제점과 핵심요인을 찾아 조사를 하고 SAP R/3 PP모듈의 장점과 단점 또한 조사를 하였다. 특히 생산계획 프로세스에서는 유한스케쥴링을 할수 없었던 환경을 분석하고 그에 따른 대안으로 MES 스케쥴링에 대한 설명 및 이해를 서술 하였다. 본 논문은 크게 4개의 장으로 구성이 되어 있다. 2장에서는 생산계획에 대한 이론적 고찰 및 MES에 대해서 조사를 하고 상황에 따른 기업사례를 조명 하였다. 3장에서는 본격적인 사례분석으로 생산계획에 관련된 여러 변화상황 및 구축효과 , 개선성공요인 , 실패인자를 조사 하였으며 마지막으로 설문조사를 통해 개선사항을 도출하였다. 본 사례연구에는 SAP R/3구축 프로젝트중 다양한 프로젝트 방법론과 금속,화학,목재 산업이 복합적으로 내재해 있는 보루네오 가구의 구축사례를 빌어 조사를 하였다. 해당기업을 선정한 사유는 제조공정의 Boundary가 넓고 구축당시 CEO의 남다른 관심과 구축배경 또한 혁신을 통한 기업성장의 사유가 절실 하였으며 , 구축 전후의 효과에 차이가 있었기 때문이다. 그리고 구축과정에서의 실패 및 실패극복요인을 필자가 직,간접적으로 경험을 한 요인도 있다. 제 4장은 결론으로서 논문의 결과를 요약하고 정리하며 본 연구의 시사점 및 한계점 등에 대해서 서술울 하였다.

SAP R/3 system requires huge amount of expenses, human resources, and efforts resulted from organizational task changes when it is newly introduced. While some companies have not had as much outcomes as they invested, other companies have succeeded on the system implementation with better outcomes. Based on these results, there have been some studies which are about how SAP R/3 system has influenced on the business efficiency and success facts. However, those of studies are mostly concentrated on overall SAP R/3 system performance, not on the specific modules. Therefore, I decided to select PP module (product management) as the topic of this paper, which rarely has the references or documents. In this report, I will analysis the effect of PP module (product management) to the business efficiency and correlation between PP module and MES, and from there, result in success facts and failure causes. The paper begins with an introduction section to familiarize the reader with SAP R/3 module and planning strategy which is the important concept of SAP R/3 PP module. The following section states PP (product planning) construction procedure and PP change management by presenting SAP R/3 introduction cases. In the process from SAP R/3implementation to completion, the problems and primary facts are researched, and especially, the pros and cons of the system are mentioned. This report is composed with four chapters. In the chapter two, the product planning, MES and business cases of each circumstance are lightened. The chapter three is the main case analysis section which is about changing circumstances, construction effects, success facts, and its failures. At last, the improvement for better operation is resulted through the survey. In this case study, the SAP implementation case of Borneo International Furniture (BIF) is used for representing many types of project methodologies and the composite industry. The reason why the BIF is selected as the case in this paper is that its manufacturing process had large boundary, and the company was eager to grow by innovating its system. I also have directly and indirectly experienced the failures and its causes while the implementation project is being proceed. The chapter four is the conclusion which summarizes the results of this report, and it discusses this study’s suggestion and limits.
