초록/요약
전 세계적으로 RFID에 대한 관심은 증대되고 있으며 기술도 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 특히 국방 분야에서는 국방 탄약관리 시스템과 보안 분야에 대하여 큰 주목을 받고 있으며, RFID의 발전 가능성에 대해서도 낙관적으로 예측되고 있다. 이에 따라 우리 군도 RFID 기술의 적용 필요성을 인식하고 그에 대한 적용방안이 마련되면 그 파급효과가 클 것으로 예상된다. RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)는 일정 주파수 대역을 이용해 무선으로 사물에 부착된 태그를 식별하여 정보를 획득하고 처리하는 기술로서 장차 우리 주변의 사소한 개체에 대해서도 RFID가 응용될 것이다. 해외 및 국내에서의 적용사례를 살펴보면 국방 탄약관리 분야, 보안 분야에서 RFID기술이 다양하게 적용된 것을 볼 수 있다. 본 논문은 RFID의 기술개념과 특징을 이해하고 미국, 일본, 유럽과 국내 적용 사례, 그리고 국방 분야에서 적용된 국방 탄약 관리시스템, 비밀 관리에 대한 적용사례를 제시한다. 그리고 현재 우리 군의 병사관리체계를 신상 관리와 경계근무 분야로 구분하여 그 문제점을 분석하였으며 이를 바탕으로 RFID 기반 병사관리체계 구축 방안을 제시한다. RFID 기반 병사관리체계는 언제 어디서나 지휘관과 병사가 네트워크를 통하여 손쉽게 만날 수 있으며 지휘관의 업무 부담을 감소시키고 과다한 행정소요를 감소시켜 업무효율을 극대화 시킬 것이다. 또한 경계 근무시 피아식별을 용이하게 하고 근무지의 각종 상황을 실시간으로 확인할 수 있어 보다 과학화된 경계근무태세를 확립 할 수 있게 된다. 향후 RFID가 국방 분야에 본격적으로 적용될 경우 체계적이며, 실질적인 병사관리를 비롯하여 군 현대화에 혁신을 가져올 것으로 판단되며, 나아가 유비쿼터스 기반의 병영문화 조성에 크게 기여할 것이다.

All over the world, the interest of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), the technology that reads and processes the information by distinguishing the tags that stuck on the object using a specific period of radio frequency, is increasing and it's technology is rapidly improving. Especially in the national defence area, it is the attention of the ammunition control and security systems. The possibility of RFID's growth is also estimated positively. Therefore, the expansion of usage is expected if the military realize the need of RFID technology and find the way of applying. Soon in the future, RFID will be used in insignificant part in our surroundings. We can find the cases of applications of RFID technology in the parts of the ammunition control and systems, in domestic and overseas. This thesis presents the concept and characteristic of the RFID technology, the cases of application in the US, Japan, Europe, and domestic, and how the national defence uses this technology in the national defence ammunition control and security systems. It presents the construction of the soldier management system according to the analysis of the problem dividing the soldier management and the security service part with the RFID technology. The soldier management system based on the RFID will make the commanders and the soldiers be able to meet through the network system, and it will alleviate the responsibility of the commanders' duty in order to maximize the efficiency of the work. Later when RFID gets into the real world, not only it will innovate the military modernized but also make organized, substantial soldier management system. Furthermore, it will contribute making the life of barrack in the concept of the ubiquitous paradigm.
